Eliminating Urban Heat Islands

The temperature in urban areas is significantly higher than in rural areas.

This is caused by a several factors, such as the presence of heat-absorbing materials like concrete and asphalt, a lack of vegetation, and human activities such as transportation, industrial processes and waste heat emitted by AC units. ​

This can lead to an increase in energy consumption for cooling purposes, resulting in an increase in greenhouse gas emissions and, other air pollutants.  It can also have a negative impacts on human health.  ​

Utilizing SolCold's cooling coatings on roofs of buildings, transportation vehicles, and clothing can greatly contribute to mitigating the urban heat island effect.
